Terms & Conditions

Owners Staying Dog owners are not allowed to be in the grooming room. Dogs who see their parents while being groomed can become too excited and could cause injury to themselves or the groomer, therefore we prefer to not have owners wait inside or to show up before a scheduled pick-up time.

No-Show & Cancellations
As a small business, no-shows can have a massive effect on us. For a no-show we will charge a fee of £10.00 and you will be required to pay this fee before booking another appointment. We ask that if you cannot make your appointment for any reason that you give us 48 hours’ notice to avoid fee’s associated with late cancellations and rescheduling. A fee of £10.00 will be charged for any cancellations made less than 48 hours prior to your appointment.

Appointment Times We ask that you please try to be as punctual as possible, please do not show up any earlier than 15 minutes before your scheduled pick-up time as your dog may still be on the grooming table and become un settled. If you are more than 15 minutes late for your appointment then we may not be able to take you that day and may have to reschedule your appointment with a deposit.

Final Price Additional charges will apply for the extra time and products involved in grooming neglected coats, in particular those which require clipping off due to severe matting and for dogs whose temperament or health also requires more time to complete.

Dematting In conjunction with the animal welfare act 2006, we will not spend more than 15 minutes dematting coats that may cause stress or trauma to the dog by doing so. Mats can be very difficult to remove, and may require the dog to be shaved. When necessary, removing a heavily matted coat includes risks of nicks, cuts or abrasions due to warts, moles or skin folds trapped in the mats. Heavy matting can also trap moisture and urine near the dog’s skin allowing mould, fungus or bacteria to grow, causing skin irritations that existed prior to the grooming process.  After effects of mat removal procedures can include itchiness, skin redness, self-inflicted irritations or abrasions and failure of the hair to regrow. Shaved dogs are also prone to sunburn and should either have sunscreen applied daily or should be kept out of the sun until the hair grows sufficiently to protect the skin. In some cases, dogs may also exhibit brief behavioural changes. Prevention is the best defense against matting by scheduling regular grooming appointments. If your dog needs to be shaved to remove matting, by signed below you acknowledge that you agree to this procedure, and any risk and any additional charges that will be commensurate to the additional work required.

Photographs Your pet may be photographed before, during and after its groom. Photographs may be used on the website or social media. If you don’t want pictures of your dog used, please say to us.

Bitches in Season For safety and hygiene reasons we will not groom female dogs if they are in season. Any arriving in season will be turned away and requested to reschedule.

Fleas & Parasites Please make sure that your dog has had its flea, tick & worm treatment before entering the salon. If fleas are discovered on your dog, this will incur an additional charge of £10 to cover cleaning and products needed to fumigate the salon.
