Our story

Welcome to Highmoor Hounds, a professional Dog Groomers located in Derry City, Northern Ireland. Established by Amy Olphert, a professional, fully qualified dog groomer with years of experience. She holds the City and Guilds Level 3 Diploma for Professional Dog Stylists and regularly attends Seminars and Grooming Competitions to keep up to date with any changes within the industry. Amy wanted to expand her knowledge of dogs and their behaviour so went and achieved a level 3 diploma in canine care, behaviour and welfare. She is also qualified in canine first aid, so you can be assured your dog will be in safe hands. “ my dream was to work with animals, and with dogs in particular. I felt such an affiliation to them”

We offer a Dog grooming Service that aims to be stress free, leaving your Dog and You Smiling. We don’t believe there is a one size fits all solution for your dog. We take the time to get to know each dog to help us understand what’s best for them. The welfare of your dog is at the heart of our business with a focus on quality, care and outstanding service.

We use Natural Cruelty Free Products. Some of our products are handmade by us. We have a natural dog soap range made with 100% coconut oil, our use of natural oils ensures a completely moisturising product which helps your dog retain all of their natural oils.
